The Art of Fashion: 2006., First year we held event at
the Blue Star Art complex, and it was a smash with a
capacity crowd, with the organizers scrambling to secure
the designers for next year That night.
My creations at the time reflected a very somber clean
approach.
I only used unbleached muslin and tulle that year.
and the music selection reflected the mood
I choose Death Cab for Cutie's song "like brothers on
a hotel bed" as the runway music , which is very slow paced
and the models seem like they were in a hazy, foggy, dream.
NO expressions and barely moving.
My Line garnered Best-of-Show by Micheal Quintanilla; Fashion writer, San Antonio Express-News.
"Communion" was the title to that summer line.
and it summed up that summer well, the entire
collection sold-out , so i could afford a well needed break.
